Napa Weekend

This weekend Sarah and I took a trip to Napa and San Francisco for a little vacation. It was a great trip and a relaxing one. We went wine tasting at a few winery's and ate the most amazing cheeses. Napa is absolutely beautiful! I can't wait to do it again. Here are some pictures of our vacation.

My busy month

This last month has been crazy busy so I have not had a bunch of time to post. So I have decided to do one large post on the things that have happened this last month. I hope you enjoy :)

In November my friend Rebecca came to visit and to check out MIIS. Rebecca is moving to Monterey within the next few weeks to start classes at MIIS. It will be great to have her around. The weekend that she came was one of the hottest weekends we have had in a long time. It was an absolutely perfect weekend. We had a great time hanging out and enjoying the great weather. We even had a bunch of people over for dinner and games. It was a great weekend. Here are a few pictures of the weekend.



After Rebecca left I spent the next few weeks working on getting the church ready for the Christmas holiday. The vision this year was simple, elegant, and Pottery Barn like. We put lights on a bunch of trees in the parking lot and we also put lights on the building. It looks like a winter wonderland. It look a little over a week to get the lights completely finished. The week of Thanksgiving is when I started decorating the church. Three rooms and four Christmas trees later the church was complete. It looks good :)

Thanksgiving went by like a blur. I spent the day with some good friends of mine, the Holdridge and Ramones family. Bryna made an amazing dinner and, with the help of her mom Karen, made four pies. Everything was absolutely fabulouse. After dinner and before the desert we went for a walk arond the neighborhood. We ended up at the park and we watched as Nate and Riley played a great game of sneaked tennis, they each took one sneaker off and used it as their racket. We ended the night with a game of Tripoly. Riley, Nate, and Ken got out quickly but us girls went the distance. I forgot that I had my camera so I did not get many pictures. I did happen to get the these two. The guys were sure tired :)

Thanksgiving was great this year. I had the best time and could not have imagined spending it any other way. Thanks Holdridge and Ramones family for including me.

Jenny's Birthday

Yesterday was my roomates 27th birthday. Jenny and I have lived together for three years. I love Jenny! She is a great friend and a blessing to me. Last night we went to a movie and had dinner at P.F. Changs. It was a good night. Happy Birthday Jenny :)

Happy Thanksgiving!

I have been busy decorating the church for Christmas so I have not had time to post. I will be doing a large "catch up" post in a few days! Love you guys and hope you have a blessed Thanksgiving :)

The Tea Party

Today I took Lauren and Carys to the Cypress Inn for a tea party. The girls dressed in their favorite dresses and gave themselves nicknames. Lauren was Sleeping Beauty because she was wearing pink and Carys was Belle because she was wearing yellow. The girls had a blast and were keeping everyone around us amused with songs and spontaneous burst of laughter. It is fun to watch the two of them play. They are so cute together.

After the tea party we went for a walk around downtown Carmel. The girls pet every dog they could see. By the time our walk was over I was ready for a nap. All in all it was a great day and the girls had so much fun which made me happy. Something we will need to do again.

Quick update

I have a friend in town this weekend so I will update you guys about our weekend in a few days. It has been absolutly beutiful here. What a great wekend for Becca to come :) I will post again soon!

Date Night's

Once a week I watch the Holdridge kids for date night. For the last few months we seem to do the exact same thing each week. The majority of our time together is spent in Violet's bedroom playing doll house. Normally I am the mother and the father, however last night I was the mother and grandmother. I was not prepared for that. Last night June decided to join us. Had to take a picture.

Happy Birthday!

Today is my sweet Lauren's 5th birthday. I can't believe she is the big 5. They sure do grow up fast. For those of you who don't know, Lauren is the daughter of my friends Nate and Christina. They have three amazing girls who I absolutely love spending time with. I love these girls so much. I get to hang out with them once a week and I do have to say it is my favorite time of the week.

Last night we celebrated Lauren's birthday is a pink princess party. It was lots of fun. There were about eight little girls who played dress up all night. They took one break to open presents and eat pink cake. What a night! Lauren got tons of gifts. I got her a pink princess robe and pink princess slippers. I am also going to be taking her to the Cypress Inn next week for a tea party. I can't wait :)

This past weekend was our annual Fall Family Festival. This was the first year that I was on the planning end of it. All I can say is that it was lots of work and a hard day. It was a success, of course like anything other event you have your hiccups, but it was a great event. I am glad that it is over and I am ready for a long weekend. I dressed up a an angel...which I am one so I thought it was fitting.

Josh and Emma's Wedding

Last week my good friends Josh and Emma finally tied the knot. Josh and Emma have been dating for quite some time...I am talking years and years. It was a wonderful wedding and I was happy to be apart of it. Congratulations Josh and Emma Estrella! I love you guys :)

I have finally decided to create a blog! Most of my friends have one and I think it is about time to join the BLOG movement. I am not sure how interesting this will be or how if I am even going to keep it up but here you go. I hope all that read enjoy it :)
